About The Department
The department is located in the ground floor of Shridevi Medical College building.
Department has qualified and competent faculty and staff for medical education and medico legal services.
Eminent and experienced teaching faculty with good admixture of experience, enthusiasm and research-orientation.
The department has a fully equipped laboratory for UG training. Two demonstration halls for undergraduate students, a research laboratory and a departmental library. The department also manages mortuary with autopsy services.

To create IMG s who can manage medico legal issues.
Mission
- The aim of teaching the undergraduate student in Forensic Medicine is to impart such knowledge and skills that may enable him to manage common medico-legal problems in day to day practice.
- He/she shall acquire competence for post mortem diagnosis based on history, physical examination and relevant observations during autopsy.
